SAN JUANICO BRIDGE TO BE CLOSED for REHABILITATION

 



The so-called Bridge of Love, San Juanico Bridge, in Eastern Visayas will be off limits to people (residents and tourists) and large trucks as the Government overseas a major rehabilitation. For its repair, the government needs 500 Million pesos. San Jaunico Bridge connects Samar and Leyte. During the Super Typhoon Yolanda (Typhoon Haiyan), the brdige suffered damged due to storm surges. It was repaired and was reopened after a month. However, for years, the government has seen structural weaknesses which endangers the lives of motorists and tourists crossing this popular tourist destination. Ferdinand Marcos term, the father of the now Pres. Bong Bong Marcos or BBM
